Device not recognized in bootloader mode

This article is a workaround solution for users who are unable to access the bootloader mode and cannot get to the firmware update screen when using their Trezor device with a Windows 8 or 10 computer.

Please follow the instructions below:

1. Connect your Trezor device and download this file and open it (admin mode might be required).[edit]


2. Confirm both dialogue windows.[edit]

3. Once the registry is open, you should see that the following file was added.[edit]


4. Unplug and replug your Trezor device. You do not need to restart your computer.[edit]

5. You should now be able to access the firmware update screen.[edit]

6. If that doesn't help, try installing Zadig drivers for bootloader.[edit]
