Namecoin (NMC) is a cryptocurrency and an alternative, decentralized DNS (Domain Naming System) allowing people to register a .bit domain. It is based on the Bitcoin code - it uses the same proof-of-work algorithm and is limited to 21 million coins. Unlike Bitcoin, Namecoin can store data within its own blockchain transaction database.

How to use Namecoin (NMC) with Trezor

Even though NEM is not integrated in Trezor Wallet, it can be used with Electrum-NMC, with the seed and private keys protected by the Trezor device. For more information, see the Electrum-NMC GitHub page. You can also see our manual for using Bitcoin with Electrum in Apps:Electrum - the setup should be very similar.
