The purpose of this article is to give a detailed account of the hardware specifications of Trezor One (show for Trezor Model T).

The casing, dimensions, and material[edit]

Trezor One is of approx. 60mm x 30mm x 6mm (2.4in x 1.2in x 0.2in) in size and weights 12 g (0.42 oz). The case is made of a reinforced plastic providing great durability. The casing is put together using a method of ultrasonic welding.

NoteThere are no connective bolts, nails, soldering materials, or adhesives holding the case together.

The connection[edit]

Trezor One is a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 compatible device. The device wields a Micro USB (type B) Receptacle port in the bottom part of the unit.

Other means of communication such as WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, or even a fingerprint reader have been deliberately excluded to limit the possible attack surface.

Trezor uses an ARM Cortex-M3 processor @ 120 MHzwith custom software.


OLED screen (128x64 pixels) used on Trezor One provides enough space to display the transaction details comfortably, requests for confirmation, warnings, or even simple images. The screen is an essential tool allowing the user to reliably check the legitimacy of entered data with no need to trust the host device(computer/phone).


Trezor One uses two buttons to receive confirmation from the user. The necessity of physical confirmation has been implemented to protect the accounts from the vast majority of remote attacks. Buttons can also be used to enter the seed words during the Advanced recovery process.

Operating conditions and care[edit]

Operating temperature

Trezor devices reliably operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F - +140°F).

ImportantDo not attempt to force open, disassemble the case. Do not expose your Trezor device to extreme temperatures, fire, water, sand, vapors, humidity, or chemicals. The device is not waterproof or unbreakable.
