User manual:Using Trezor with Android
This article describes the different options of using the Trezor device with Android.
With the release of our Trezor Manager application for Android, we have introduced an alternative method of setting up, customizing, and recovering your Trezor device even without a computer. It should work on all Android devices that support USB Host. You need an OTG cable to connect the Trezor to your phone or tablet. Currently, the app can only be used to initialize the device, recover the device, set up the PIN code and passphrase, and some other functionalities. You can download the Trezor Manager app from Google Play. Alternatively, you can download it as a binary APK, or see the source code at Github.
To make payments with Trezor via your phone, it is possible to connect to Trezor Wallet in your browser using WebUSB.
You can also install a third-party application, e.g., Mycelium.
Trezor Wallet with WebUSB
You can connect to Trezor Wallet directly using WebUSB. Just plug your Trezor in to your Android phone, open Google Chrome, and visit beta-wallet.trezor.io. Everything else works just like when using Trezor Wallet on a desktop computer.
Using Android with Trezor Beta Wallet
Trezor Beta Wallet (beta-wallet.trezor.io) is a less-tested version of the web-wallet. New features are released here first before we consider them sufficiently reliable for the production wallet. It serves as a public feature-testing platform for the Trezor community, providing power users with quick access to new features.
3. By selecting the Transactions dropdown menu you can switch to the Receive, Send, Exchange, or Sign & Verify tabs and use the Trezor Beta Wallet in the same way as using it on your computer.
Trezor setup with Trezor Manager
Download and install the application from Google Play. Open the app and then plug in your Trezor with an OTG cable. The device should prompt you to allow USB access. In case you have initialized your Trezor previously, enter the PIN and access the home screen of the app.
Initialize Your Trezor
If your Trezor is new, the app starts the setup process. It is very similar to Trezor setup with a desktop computer.

Setting up a PIN
The PIN follows Trezor security standards — the position of numbers on the PIN pad is randomized. Since the phone has a touch screen, PIN input is much more convenient. The PIN matrix changes every time there is a new PIN prompt.

Setting up the recovery seed
After you set your new PIN, write down the recovery seed. Seed words are displayed on your Trezor device. Remember to write down all the words and store them in a secure place. The recovery seed represents your master key. If you lose access to it, it will be impossible to recover your funds if your Trezor device is stolen or damaged. Additionally, if someone steals your recovery seed, they will have full access to your account. Read more about the recovery seed and its security in our blog post Learn about: Recovery seed.

The Android app also supports the recovery of your Trezor. The process is simple, as the app guides you step by step until you finalize the initialization. Please follow each step carefully. Have your recovery seed ready. The order of the words is shuffled, as is standard for Trezor security practices.

Wipe and update firmware
You can also easily wipe an initialized device with Trezor Manager. The option is available directly on the home screen.
Updating the firmware is the same as on a desktop computer. Plug your Trezor into the phone with both buttons pressed to start the update process. The phone should automatically offer you an update to the firmware.
Trezor with third-party services
